The classic entertainment social-drama, written and directed by Ajay Anand and creatively produced by Vikas Sharma, explores the deep-rooted struggles of life in Indian villages and small towns. The film highlights the journey of a young boy—son of a sanitation worker—who bravely confronts the challenges thrown at him by his village, neighbours, and local community. Despite constant opposition and pressure, especially from upper-caste individuals, he rises above discrimination and eventually becomes a symbol of inspiration and hope.
Produced by Vikas Sharma, Raghvendra, and co-producer Ramesh Sharma, Apna Amitabh throws light on the pervasive caste system and societal discrimination.
